💳 SOMEONE SHOULD BUY THIS (SO I DON’T)
As I look toward spring, I know I’ll focus on a few things. I’ve already bought a fleece that I wear like an old man wears a cardigan, around the house and for a few errands, layering it with my daily puffer on particularly cold days.
I tend to look into the rod and gun gear and English heritage gear, but if you’ve been following FIRE SALE for a while, you know I’ve been wary of the kind of person the Barbour is starting to appeal to (frat guys instead of casual gear guys). Fishing shirts and Orvis field pants are weird enough and practical enough that there is a force field protecting them from the yuppie clone army.
Finally, I’ve always been into exotic sportswear. I was a champion of bloke-core a couple of summers ago, and I want to keep those good vibes going. My Australian girlfriend’s family introduced me to the wonders of cricket, and a trip to India made me realize how stylish the gear is.
Paul Mescal helped introduce many stylish people to the Gaelic Athletic Association with his slutty little shorts. The GAA is huge and manages most of Ireland’s youth sports, meaning there are countless pages of sportswear on ebay.ie.
